Experience Creativity in Nature: Apply for the AIRIE Residency in the Everglades

Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organisation, offers an exceptional residency programme nestled within the stunning Everglades National Park (ENP) and the Greater Miami Area. AIRIE’s mission is to foster a deep connection between art and the environment, offering a paid, month-long immersive residency for artists to explore these intersections while being fully integrated into one of the most unique ecosystems in the world.

The AIRIE Residency programme encourages artists to engage in an open, experimental process. Rather than focusing on the pressure of preparing for exhibitions, participants are invited to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and inspiration of the Everglades without a preconceived agenda. The programme emphasises creativity, process, and the evolution of artistic practice, allowing artists to explore new directions and expand their work.

Throughout their month in residence, artists are encouraged to leave behind rigid schedules and embrace spontaneity and discovery. The programme provides time and space for creative exploration, facilitated by the natural surroundings of the Everglades, which have inspired countless artists and thinkers for generations.

In addition to the immersive residency experience, AIRIE fosters community engagement by hosting events, offering gallery space, and connecting artists to the vibrant Miami art scene.
