Caribbean Brushstrokes (Caribbean + Diaspora)

An open invitation for Caribbean artists to share evolving practices and perspectives. The initiative supports regional exchange and visibility for artists across borders.

​Adolph & Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant Program

Deadline: Rolling

Award: Up to $50,000 for one year

Eligibility: International painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper, including printmakers

Grants support artists based on financial need and professional exhibition history.

Residency

BEERS London 40-Day Residency

A 40-day residency in London supporting artists with dedicated time for creative development. Selected artists receive studio space, an honorarium for living and materials, professional guidance from the BEERS team, and flexibility to shape their own schedule. Applications remain active for 12 months, and there is a £20 application fee.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant

Provides grants that support artists based on financial need and professional exhibition history.

Residency

Studio Museum in Harlem Artist-in-Residence Program 2026–2027

An 11-month residency for emerging and established artists of African and Afro-Latinx descent working across all media. The programme provides studio space, curatorial support, professional development and culminates in a major exhibition and publication. Open to international artists, including those based in the Caribbean.


Deadline: May 18, 2026

Location: New York, USA (in-person residency at the Studio Museum in Harlem)

Award: Stipend (~$37,500–$50,000), studio space, institutional support and exhibition opportunity

The Hopper Prize – Spring 2026

An international grant supporting visual artists and photographers with unrestricted funding and professional exposure (including features and interviews).


Deadline: May 12, 2026


Eligibility: Open worldwide to artists at all career stages


Award: Total Awards: $13,000.00 USD for visual artists

  •  $4,500.00 – 2 artists will each receive a $4,500 (USD) grant

  • $1,000.00 – 4 artists will each receive a $1,000 (USD) grant

CIFRA Award

CIFRA welcomes all forms of digital art, provided submissions can be presented as video. Under the theme RestArt Reality, artists are invited to explore ideas such as pseudo-evidence, invented archives, alternative chronologies, reconstructions, and “false” testimonies. Five selected artists will each receive €1,000.

Lumen Prize 2026

An international award recognising artists working with digital and technology-based practices. The prize highlights innovative work at the intersection of art, science, and emerging technologies, offering global visibility through exhibitions and partnerships.

Eligibility: International artists working in digital and technology-driven art practices, including but not limited to digital art, AI, XR, generative art, animation, and interactive media.

Competition

Light Space & Time – “Landscapes” competition

Artists are invited to submit landscape-themed work across all media for this international competition. The theme will be the artist’s interpretation and depiction of the natural world, outdoor scenery, geographical environments, scenic vistas and related landscape subjects.

Residency

Arroscia Residency

Fully funded residency for painters to develop a body of work for exhibition; includes community engagement and artwork contribution.

CIMAM Travel Grant Program 2026 – Harare

Travel grant for curators and museum professionals in contemporary art to attend the CIMAM Annual Conference in Harare (November 20–22, 2026).


Deadline: May 4, 2026

Location: Harare, Zimbabwe


Eligibility:  Open to international applicants, specifically those based in emerging and developing economies (including the Caribbean).

Feminitt Caribbean Open Call: Safe Cycle Week Exhibition

Feminitt Caribbean invites Caribbean artists to submit visual and performing works exploring menstruation and its intersection with social injustices, including climate change, gender, race, healthcare access, disability, and water access. Selected works will be exhibited in a physical showcase and virtual gallery as part of Safe Cycle Week and Menstrual Health Day.

Residency

Bundanon Artists in Residence Program 2027

A multidisciplinary residency offering 1–3 week stays for artists and researchers to develop their practice in a remote, natural setting in Australia. The program supports experimentation, research, and creative risk-taking, with no requirement for a final outcome. Residents are provided time, space, and purpose-built studios to focus on their work alongside a diverse cohort.

Location: Bundanon, New South Wales, Australia

Eligibility:

  • Open to artists, curators and researchers across all disciplines and career stages

  • International applicants eligible

  • Individuals, groups, and organisations can apply

  • Must be 18+

  • Not open to those who have attended a Bundanon residency within the past 5 years

  • Free residency (no participation fee)

  • Accommodation and studio space provided

  • Access to shared facilities and natural surroundings

  • No stipend, travel, or living costs covered (artists self-fund these)

Residency

The Farm Margaret River Funded Residency 2027

A site-responsive residency for visual artists to develop work engaging with land, ecology, and place. Set on a rural property in Western Australia, the program supports research-driven, experimental practice rooted in environmental and cultural context, with an emphasis on community engagement and connection to landscape.~


Deadline: June 1, 2026
Location: Margaret River, Western Australia (Wadandi Country)

Eligibility: 

  • Open to Australian and international visual artists. 

  • 18+ with a strong, sustained professional practice. 

  • Must be able to work independently in a self-directed residency. 

  • Interest in site-specific, land-based work required

Award: 

  • 8–10 week residency (Feb–Nov 2027)

  • Artist fee: AUD $15,000

  • Accommodation + studio provided

  • Travel costs covered

Residency

The Kyoto Retreat

A 4-week international residency (November 1-30, 2026) for artists, curators, and writers focused on research, reflection, and cultural immersion in Japan rather than production. Participants are encouraged to explore Kyoto’s cultural landscape and use the time for inspiration and personal development.


Deadline: July 17, 2026

Eligibility: Open to visual artists, curators, and writers (all career stages) aged 21+ from anywhere in the world.

Location: Kyoto, Japan

Award: Round trip flight to Japan, 4-week stay (private bedroom in shared house) and $800 USD stipend for meals and local transport
