Looking to exhibit your work, secure funding or participate in an international residency? This August offers a range of opportunities for Caribbean artists and creatives across visual arts, public art, textiles, literature and digital exhibitions.
From London and Oslo to Germany and the Metaverse, here are some of the latest opportunities currently featured in the Caribalent Opportunities Hub.

Artists worldwide are invited to submit work for The British Art Prize 2026. Open to amateur, emerging and professional artists, the competition accepts all traditional media and styles, with the exception of AI-generated artwork.
Selected artists will exhibit at two London galleries and receive editorial exposure in Artists & Illustrators magazine. The prize fund is valued at more than £10,000 and includes cash prizes, art materials, exhibition opportunities and a solo exhibition.

The Alabama Historical Commission is seeking artists or artist teams to design a permanent memorial honouring the 110 survivors of the Clotilda, the last known ship to illegally transport enslaved Africans to the United States.
Open internationally, the commission carries a total project budget of US$2 million and encourages applicants to demonstrate a meaningful connection to the project's historical significance.

Artists working at the intersection of art, textiles and technology are invited to apply for the TaDA Residency in Arbon, Switzerland. Six selected artists will receive a three month residency, studio space, collaboration opportunities with textile companies and the chance to present their work during the TaDA Spinnerei event.

SKOG Art Space in Oslo, Norway is accepting exhibition proposals from emerging and established artists working in any medium.
Selected applicants will have the opportunity to present solo or group exhibitions in one of Norway's contemporary art spaces.

Artists aged 18 and over are invited to submit an original graphite, charcoal or black ink sketch for the chance to win a scholarship to attend The Wild Canvas Retreat in Puerto Rico. Three artists will receive fully funded scholarships to participate in the January 2027 retreat in Ceiba, Puerto Rico.

International artists working in visual arts, literature and composition can apply for this respected residency programme in Germany. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of €1,500 (less accommodation and utility costs) while developing their projects during a residency lasting between two and six months.

Artists and galleries from around the world are invited to participate in a large-scale virtual exhibition hosted in the Metaverse. Up to 300 artists will be selected to showcase and sell their work through immersive 3D galleries accessible to visitors worldwide.
Rolling Grant Opportunities
ARRIVAL Gallery Micro Grant offers a simple rolling application process where artists submit one original artwork per round. Once 1,000 valid submissions are received, one artist is awarded a £100 micro grant.
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation continues to accept applications on a rolling basis from painters, sculptors, printmakers and artists working on paper. Grants of up to US$50,000Â are awarded based on financial need and a demonstrated history of professional exhibitions.
Also accepting applications on a rolling basis, this emergency grant programme provides financial assistance to painters, sculptors, printmakers and artists working on paper who are experiencing unexpected hardship. Awards of up to US$50,000Â are available to eligible applicants.
